Bethel Safety Associates is pleased to offer the National Safety Council Internet Point and Insurance Reduction Program (I-PIRP) on-line Defensive Driving Course. This course is normally $44.95 but if purchased through us, you save $5.00 and pay only $39.95.
While we would prefer that you attend one of our classroom sessions (studies show that students learn better with the benefit of an instructor and other students for interaction), we understand that some people just can’t make time to attend a Defensive Driving Course. The NSC I-PIRP is designed for those people. Approved by the New York State Dept.of Motor Vehicles, this course will entitle you to the same Points and Insurance Reductions as the classroom course.
This course has several special requirements which are noted below:
1) System Requirements – (All require JavaScript enabled)

2) You must also have a separate telephone line available. For verification purposes, the course uses voice recognition software to ensure the person who registered for the course is the same as the person taking it. This is in addition to periodic pin number prompts.
3) Registration is for 30 days of access. You MUST complete the course within 30 days of registration. If you do not complete the course within 30 days of registering, you will need to repurchase the course.
4) The course will still take approximately six hours to complete. You can stop and start at anytime, however.
5) There is a 25 question multiple choice exam at the end of the course. This is closed book (meaning you cannot go back to look up answers but can use notes). A question will be scored as incorrect if the student enters an incorrect response or fails to provide a response within 60 seconds. You must score 75% or higher to pass the post-test and receive a certificate of completion. If you do not score 75% or higher, you will have the opportunity to review the course material again and retake the post-test exam up to two additional times. If you do not pass after the third time, you will need to repurchase the course. The questions for subsequent tests are randomly generated and may change from test to test.
