In addition to our training, Bethel Safety Associates also offers a number of technical safety services. They are primarily for the commercial market, but some may be useful to homeowners. Among the services we offer are:
Mock OSHA Inspection – Using techniques and checklists similar to those used by OSHA inspectors, we conduct a full inspection of your workplace. From Opening Conference to records review to facility walkthrough to Closing Conference, we help prepare you for if you do have an OSHA inspection, without worrying about penalties. We are NOT affiliated with OSHA and the only people who will know what we find is the company. This service usually takes all day and includes both a closing briefing and written report.
Emergency Action Plan Preparation and Evacuation Drill Evaluation – OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.138 requires that all businesses with more than 10 employees have an Emergency Action Plan. Our technician will analyze your facility and determine the best evacuation route for all of your employees (and customers, if applicable), prepare a written plan (with evacuation maps), and help you conduct an emergency evacuation drill.
Safety Plan Development – Most businesses, particularly those involved in production, should have written safety plans including Chemical Safety/Right to Know, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, and more, depending on your industry. Using well-established templates, we tailor them to meet the needs of your business, providing both a written plan and training on the plan to management and/or employees.
Job Hazard Analysis/PPE evaluations – Usually in conjunction with the Safety Plan Design, we analyze the various functions of your organization and identify the potential hazards associated with them. Then we make recommendations on how to reduce these hazards, either through engineering controls, administrative practices, or the use of Personal Protective Equipment
.
Ergonomic Consultations – Our Certified Ergonomic Compliance Technician will analyze the various work functions at your site and determine if they are ergonomically correct and/or make recommendations on how to improve the ergonomics of the function. This will help you reduce ergonomic/muscular related injuries.
OSHA Injury/Illness Recordkeeping Consultation – Confused about OSHA 300 and 301 forms? Not sure if an injury is OSHA recordable? Using the OSHA Recordkeeping Standard, 29 CFR 1904, we will review your first aid/incident log and determine which incidents need to be recorded/reported to OSHA. Then, we will help your HR department complete and file the forms as needed. All information will be kept confidential.
NYS Building/Fire Code Consultation – Our New York State Certified Code Enforcement Officer will review your building plans and ensure they are compliant with current codes.
Fees vary depending upon the service(s) required and the size of the job. Contact us for more details.
